As a Guest Service Team Leader at Jumeirah, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of guest service. This position involves both pre-opening and operational responsibilities, making it an exciting opportunity for individuals with luxury hospitality experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Support the setup and define the function’s role during the pre-opening phase.
  • Collaborate closely with the hotel and residences to address operational needs as outlined in the job description.
  • Cascade and ensure adherence to all standards applicable to bellmen and doormen by all colleagues.
  • Escort guests to their rooms when necessary, maintaining rooming standards across the team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage spaces for the Concierge Team.
  • Oversee procedures related to luggage handling, including drop-off, pick-up, and long-term storage, ensuring consistent implementation.
  • Safely store and deliver guest items while adhering to manual handling policies.
  • Work in conjunction with the Health & Safety Concierge Representative to maintain accurate records and best practices.
  • Assist Concierge Management in ensuring timely completion of mandatory training for bellmen and doormen teams.
  • Load departing guests’ cars, bidding a courteous farewell and confirming luggage pieces.
  • Unload luggage from arriving guests’ cars, following safety guidelines.
  • Direct and escort guests to reception, announcing them by name.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel’s driveway, main entrance, and car park.
  • Liaise with valet parking attendants for arriving and departing guest vehicles, ensuring thorough checks.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Ideally, experience in a Pre-Opening role, including setting up related systems or structures within the department.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations, especially during intensive pre-opening phases.
  • Previous luxury hospitality experience in a customer service role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and follow up on tasks.
