We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Kitchen Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various kitchen equipment used in commercial kitchens. This includes but is not limited to ovens, fryers, grills, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, and other related equipment. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of our clients’ kitchen facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform troubleshooting to identify the root cause of the problem.
• Replace or repair faulty components or parts to restore equipment functionality.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other technicians and kitchen staff to coordinate repair and maintenance activities.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and service reports.
• Adhere to safety protocols and follow established procedures when working with electrical systems, gas lines, and other potentially hazardous components.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and equipment specifications to provide the highest level of service.
• Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Kitchen Equipment Technician or similar role, preferably in a commercial kitchen or food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficient in reading technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to working with kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and kitchen staff.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, lift heavy equipment, and work in tight spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if required for off-site repairs).
