We are seeking a vigilant and responsible School Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our educational institution. The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with training in security procedures as an added advantage. Good observation skills, physical fitness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for this role. The School Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring entry and exit points, responding to security incidents, and enforcing school policies and rules.

Responsibilities:

1. Guard the school premises to maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
2. Monitor entry and exit points, verifying the identity of individuals entering the school.
3. Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access and ensure a safe atmosphere.
4. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or any suspicious activities within the school premises.
5. Conduct regular security patrols throughout the school to ensure comprehensive coverage.
6. Report and document all security incidents and safety hazards to the appropriate authorities.
7. Assist in the implementation and enforcement of school policies and regulations.
8. Participate in emergency response procedures and drills as required.
9. Provide necessary assistance to students and staff members as needed.
10. Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns effectively.
11. Lock and unlock school facilities at appropriate times as per the school’s schedule.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Training in security procedures is a plus.
3. Good observation and communication skills.
4. Physical fitness and the ability to perform security tasks.
5. Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response.
6. Integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
7. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
