Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to understand the control panel’s design and functionality.
- Install and test control panels and related components, including sensors, switches, and circuit breakers.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with control panels, such as malfunctioning components, faulty wiring, or programming errors.
- Repair or replace defective components in control panels, including relays, timers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Conduct preventive maintenance on control panels, including cleaning, lubricating, and testing components to ensure proper operation.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and contractors to resolve complex control panel issues and implement modifications to improve performance or functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of control panel maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures and adhere to company policies and guidelines.
Requirements: CONTROL PANEL TECHNICIAN
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in electrical or electronic technology preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in control panel installation, maintenance, and repair.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including AC/DC circuits, voltage and current, and digital electronics.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and multimeters.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and be available for emergency repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Ability to work on varying schedules, including weekends, evenings, and overtime.
