We are on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Cook/Junior Cook to become an integral part of our culinary team. As a Cook/Junior Cook, you will play a crucial role in crafting delectable and visually appealing dishes for our valued guests. Your culinary prowess, keen attention to detail, and collaborative spirit will contribute to the exceptional dining experiences we pride ourselves on.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare and cook an array of dishes according to established recipes and guidelines.
Ensure seamless food preparation and service through effective communication with fellow kitchen staff.
Handle and store ingredients and food items meticulously to preserve their quality and freshness.
Exhibit mastery over basic cooking techniques, including chopping, sautéing, grilling, and frying.
Maintain a spotless and organized kitchen workspace to uphold sanitation standards.
Artfully plate dishes, adhering to presentation benchmarks.
Uphold food safety and sanitation regulations for a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
Monitor and relay inventory levels to the kitchen manager.
Participate in menu planning and contribute novel ideas for dishes.
Assist in the inspection of deliveries to verify their quality and quantity.
Provide support to senior chefs and fellow kitchen staff as required.

Qualifications:

While prior experience as a Cook or Junior Cook in a restaurant setting is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
A culinary degree or relevant culinary training is considered a valuable asset.
Familiarity with fundamental cooking techniques and kitchen equipment is essential.
A deep passion for culinary artistry and creativity.
Ability to thrive in a high-paced kitchen atmosphere.
Meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast dedication to quality.
Proficient communication skills and a penchant for teamwork.
Basic mathematical aptitude for recipe measurements and conversions.
Possession of a food handler’s certification is an advantage.
