Job Description:

As a Logistics Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of our supply chain operations. Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Order Processing and Supplier Coordination:
  • Accurate and timely entry of purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Effective communication with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any potential issues.
  1. Shipping and Documentation:
  • Coordinating with shipping lines and forwarders to arrange shipments.
  • Handling the preparation and verification of shipping documents, such as Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and other relevant transport documentation.
  • Ensuring all required documentation complies with international trade regulations.
  1. Knowledge of “Letter of Credits”:
  • Demonstrating a distinct advantage by possessing expertise in dealing with Letter of Credits for smooth transaction processing.
  1. Customs Clearance and Local Transportation:
  • Facilitating local clearance of cargo and possessing a strong understanding of UAE customs formalities.
  • Coordinating transportation arrangements to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  1. Communication and Coordination:
  • Maintaining effective communication and coordination with various parties involved in the supply chain, including suppliers, forwarders, insurance companies, Chamber of Commerce, clearing agents, customs, and the sales department.
  • Promptly addressing and resolving any logistics-related queries or concerns.

Requirements: Logistics Officer Job in Dubai

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Letter of Credits is highly desirable.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of local UAE customs formalities will be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
