We are urgently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team in Oman. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical engineering within the Oil & Gas field and possess extensive knowledge of procurement activities related to electrical materials up to 400KV. Gulf experience is mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities: Procurement Engineer Jobs in Oman

• Manage and oversee all procurement activities related to electrical materials in the Oil & Gas field, specifically focusing on electrical construction projects.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for electrical components and equipment such as GIS, SCS, Teleprotection, Power Transformers, CRP, SCADA, Equipment Structures, Disconnectors, etc.
• Review technical specifications and project requirements to determine the most suitable suppliers and materials for procurement.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials while adhering to project schedules.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best value for the organization.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as project managers and engineers, to ensure alignment between procurement activities and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with the finance department to monitor procurement budgets and control costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
• Utilize the SAP system for procurement processes and documentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies related to electrical materials procurement.

Requirements: Procurement Engineer Jobs in Oman

• Bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in electrical construction within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of procurement activities related to electrical materials up to 400KV.
• Proficiency in utilizing the SAP system for procurement processes.
• Familiarity with Gulf region regulations and practices.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in procurement documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
