Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will work in our state-of-the-art welding facility, welding and fabricating components for our industrial equipment and products. The MIG Welder will be required to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, set up and operate welding equipment, and perform quality control inspections on completed welds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine welding requirements
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG welders, plasma cutters, and other tools and equipment
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Grind, buff, and smooth welded surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish
• Conduct quality control inspections on completed welds to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards
• Follow established safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Participate in safety training and contribute to the safety culture of the company
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a MIG Welder in an industrial setting
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
• Ability to set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG welders, plasma cutters, and other tools and equipment
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and processes, including metal preparation, joint design, and welding positions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control inspections on completed welds
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Welding certification preferred

Working Conditions:

The MIG Welder will work in a modern welding facility, which may include exposure to noise, fumes, and other hazards. The candidate will be expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and follow established safety protocols. The candidate may also be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

The MIG Welder will be required to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy equipment or materials. The candidate must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces and at heights.

Training:

The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training on the operation of welding equipment and tools, as well as safety protocols and procedures. The candidate may be required to obtain additional certifications or licenses, such as a forklift operator’s license or a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
