We are seeking a Plant Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our experienced Plant Operators and Maintenance staff to assist with the operation and maintenance of our industrial equipment. The Plant Helper will be required to perform a range of tasks, including manual labor, cleaning, and basic maintenance duties.

Need 2 years of experience in Ready-Mix Plant. Candidates experienced working in or around heavy equipment or construction are preferred. Must have ability to perform strenuous tasks with hands, kneel, bend and lift heavy materials. Ensure housekeeoing is maintained and that the equioment is running properly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Plant Operators in operating and maintaining industrial equipment such as crushers, screens, conveyors, and loaders
• Perform manual labor tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, and cleaning equipment
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as changing filters, lubricating equipment, and cleaning components
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any issues to the Plant Operators or Maintenance staff
• Follow established safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Participate in safety training and contribute to the safety culture of the company
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manual labor or industrial setting preferred
• Willingness to learn and work under the guidance of experienced Plant Operators and Maintenance staff
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment or materials
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions:

The Plant Helper will be required to work in an industrial setting, often outdoors and in all weather conditions. The role may require the candidate to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in noisy environments. The Plant Helper will be expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and follow established safety protocols. The candidate may also be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

The Plant Helper will be required to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment or materials. The candidate must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces and at heights.

Training:

The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training on the operation and maintenance of the industrial equipment, as well as safety protocols and procedures. The candidate may be required to obtain additional certifications or licenses, such as a forklift operator’s license or a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
