We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Fighting Supervisor to join our team. As a Fire Fighting Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating fire safety operations and managing a team of firefighting personnel. Responsibilities:
- Fire Safety Management: Develop and implement fire safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with local fire safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular inspections of fire safety equipment, systems, and evacuation routes to identify potential hazards and ensure their proper functioning.
- Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of firefighting personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their readiness and effectiveness in responding to fire incidents. Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement among team members.
- Emergency Response: Oversee and coordinate emergency response activities in the event of a fire or other related emergencies. Ensure that firefighting personnel are adequately trained, equipped, and organized to respond swiftly and efficiently to incidents. Collaborate with other emergency response teams, such as medical services and rescue teams, to ensure a coordinated and effective response.
- Equipment Maintenance: Manage and maintain firefighting equipment, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition and ready for immediate use. Schedule regular inspections, maintenance, and testing of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hoses, pumps, and other firefighting apparatus.
- Training and Education: Conduct fire safety training sessions for employees and other relevant stakeholders to raise awareness, educate on fire prevention measures, and promote a proactive approach to fire safety. Develop and deliver training programs on firefighting techniques, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations into fire incidents to determine their cause, identify lessons learned, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of fire incidents, including response actions, damages, and injuries.
- Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Stay updated on fire safety codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure that all fire safety measures, systems, and procedures comply with applicable standards and regulations. Collaborate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
- Collaborative Partnerships: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local fire departments, emergency services, and other relevant agencies. Coordinate drills, joint training exercises, and other collaborative initiatives to enhance preparedness and coordination in firefighting and emergency response efforts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or training in fire safety and firefighting are preferred.
- Proven experience in fire safety management and firefighting operations, with a minimum of [X] years of supervisory experience.
