We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Rigger to join our team. The Rigger will be responsible for lifting, moving, and securing heavy loads and equipment using rigging techniques and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of rigging principles, possess strong physical capabilities, and prioritize safety in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities:

• Study and interpret lift plans, drawings, and specifications to determine rigging requirements
• Select appropriate rigging equipment, such as slings, chains, shackles, and hooks, based on load weight, size, and shape
• Inspect and maintain rigging equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning
• Attach rigging equipment to loads and secure them properly to lifting devices, such as cranes or hoists
• Direct crane operators or hoist operators during lifting operations, ensuring safe and efficient movement of loads
• Communicate with team members to coordinate and execute lifts safely
• Monitor and adjust rigging equipment during lifts to maintain load stability and prevent accidents or damage
• Perform rigging calculations and use load charts to determine safe lifting capacities
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Conduct pre-lift safety inspections and identify any potential hazards or risks
• Maintain accurate records of rigging operations and equipment maintenance

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Rigger or similar role
• Strong knowledge of rigging principles, techniques, and equipment
• Familiarity with lift plans, drawings, and rigging specifications
• Physical strength and endurance to handle heavy loads and work in demanding conditions
• Ability to accurately assess load weights, sizes, and shapes for appropriate rigging selection
• Understanding of crane and hoist operations and ability to communicate effectively with operators
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, if required
• Relevant certifications and licenses, such as rigging certifications or crane operator certifications, are preferred

Work Schedule:
