Job Description: Safety Officer Job In Bahrain

As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with our Health, Safety & Environmental Management System. You will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, conducting regular audits, investigating incidents, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and monitor compliance with the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Management System.
  2. Ensure employees are aware of and comply with HSE policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  3. Promote a positive safety culture by leading by example and demonstrating visible commitment to HSE.
  4. Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections, reporting findings to management.
  5. Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  6. Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry best practices.
  7. Liaise with external bodies such as regulatory authorities, insurance companies, etc., as required.
  8. Prepare and deliver HSE training to employees at all levels.
  9. Compile statistical data and prepare reports on HSE performance for management review.
  10. Support the development and implementation of HSE objectives and targets.
  11. Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
  12. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in a safety-related role.
  3. Working knowledge of safety regulations (NEBOSH, OSHA, etc.).
  4. Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  8. Familiarity with industrial hygiene principles.

Compensation:

  • Salary: BHD 300-450
