Responsibilities: Senior Instrument Technician
- Perform maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of various instrumentation and control systems, including but not limited to pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, level indicators, control valves, and analyzers.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to diagnose and resolve instrument-related issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing plant operations.
- Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify faults, malfunctions, or inaccuracies in instrumentation systems and implement corrective measures.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols while working on live systems, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others in the vicinity.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, calibration reports, and equipment documentation.
- Assist in planning and executing instrument-related projects, including installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior instrument technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the team’s overall proficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations in instrumentation technology, and make recommendations for continuous improvement in instrument maintenance practices.
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for instrument maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and stay abreast of emerging technologies in the field of instrumentation.
Qualifications: Senior Instrument Technician
- Degree or diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as an Instrument Technician in a similar industry or plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of various types of instrumentation, control systems, and process measurement principles.
