Job Summary:

As a Rotating Equipment Mechanic, your primary responsibility will be to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on a wide range of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of machinery and equipment, maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspection, lubrication, and cleaning of rotating equipment.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Replace faulty components, such as bearings, seals, belts, and gears, using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Conduct alignment and balancing procedures to ensure proper functioning of rotating equipment.
• Perform vibration analysis and other diagnostic tests to assess equipment performance and detect any abnormalities.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop and implement maintenance strategies and improvement plans.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis on rotating equipment to optimize performance and reduce wear and tear.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to develop and implement maintenance strategies and improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications and Skills:

• ITI/HSC or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Rotating Equipment Mechanic or similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment principles, components, and maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and computerized maintenance management software (CMMS).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and work in various environments.
